Screening Solutions (N.I) offer a drug & alcohol screening service to companies and to individuals throughout Northern Ireland

Alcohol and drug related problems are a major concern for employers; affecting the profitability and effectiveness of organisations as well as the health, safety and welfare of all personnel.

Sample collection is done on-site; however, this is subject to the availability of appropriate facilities being in place in order to maintain Chain of Custody compliance. Chain of Custody is a process where samples are collected, security sealed in the
presence of the donor and delivered to the testing laboratory for analysis in a controlled environment. Please see the document titled Testing in the Workplace & Sample Collection Procedure located on the Document & Reference Material page for further information

The analysis of samples is carried out by the Analytical Sciences Unit at the Health & Safety Laboratory (HSL), Derbyshire; an agency of the Health & Safety Executive.

The screening procedure usually takes about five minutes to complete.  Each candidate will be required to fill in a short consent form with details of their identity and any prescription or ‘over the counter’ medication taken within the previous seven days.

Screening Solutions (N.I) conduct testing procedures in confidence and with discretion for both the candidate and client.  We understand that some individuals may find providing a sample embarrassing; at Screening Solutions (N.I), we make sure that the candidate is always treated with utmost courtesy.
